Certification Review courses - COMING SOON ONLINE! These programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of the healthcare professionals seeking national certification. Tuition includes classroom instruction, exercises and national certification exam fees. The following criteria must be met in order to register for the course:
FAST TRACK Certified Billing and Coding Specialist Review Cost: $300 (includes the cost of exam) This is weekend comprehensive review program is designed for individuals who don't have the time to attend longer sessions and need to complete their certification in a timely fashion. Students will review all administrative concepts which include an in depth review of medical billing procedures, Medicare, Medicaid and various types of Insurances. HIPAA guidelines are reviewed as well as pre-authorization, pre-certification, advance beneficiary notices, co-payments and deductibles. Motivational strategies are used to engage students while addressing all aspects of learning capacities. Presentations, exercises and practice tests will be presented through the duration of the course. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the national certification exam administered on a scheduled day.

Introduction to Medical Insurance and Coding Cost: $1000 No employment requirements or prerequisites The core fundamentals of Medical Terminology are discussed. Students will gain fundamental knowledge about various insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, traditional, HMO and managed care and their regulations, learn patient billing concepts, have a better understanding of patient deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments. Students will also learn how to complete CMS-1500 and UB92 forms nd understand EOB forms. CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding principles will also be introduced in the course. Advanced Medical Insurance Cost: $1100 Completion of Intro to Medical Billing and Coding or more than 6 months of medical billing experience (entrance exams for those individuals) This program is designed to give the student with previous experience and/or training in medical billing a more in-depth understanding of complex issues involved in the medical insurance billing industry. This course will build upon the topics introduced in Intro to Medical Billing and Coding. The course will review CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding along with Advanced topics include detail review of Medicare, Medicaid, 3rd Party Insurance, Worker’s Compensation, Blue Cross and Managed Care. Emphasis on techniques used to minimize claims denials will be discussed. Topics will also include Pre-authorization, Pre-certification and Advance Beneficiary Notices.
